U.S. Mint America the Beautiful Quarters

The U.S. Mint announced it will start a new program in 2010 to honor 56 National Parks and other special places in the U.S. States and Territories.

T he obverse (heads) will be the familiar image of George Washington (sculpted by John Flannagan 1932).  The reverse (or tails) will be a specific design about each National Park.

2010 new quarters will produced for each of the following:

Hot Springs National Park  - Arkansas
Yellowstone National Park  - Wyoming
Yosemite National Park  - California
Grand Canyon National Park  - Arizona
Mt. Hood National Forest  - Oregon
