The composition of Roosevelt Dimes changed beginning in 1965. The new composition is a "clad" construction made from a "sandwich" of Copper and Nickel alloys. The proof version of the Roosevelt Dime (Mint Mark S) is made with 90% Silver. The proof dimes are only available in Silver U.S. Proof Sets.
