The obverse design is Adolph A. Weinman’s full-length "Walking Liberty". This is the same design that was first used on the 1917 Silver Half Dollar.
The reverse design, by United States Mint sculptor/engraver John Mercanti, features an eagle with shield. The eagle is clutching an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.

American Eagle Bullion coins were authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1985 to allow investors to add precious metals to their investment portfolios. While supplies last, the Mint does sell single uncirculated Silver American Eagles, but does not sell Mint Rolls of Silver American Eagle Bullion coins directly to the public. The Mint distributes uncirculated Bullion coins through a network of wholesalers.
